A Bloc Grand Opening is celebrated on Thursday 30.8.
A Bloc opens in connection with the Aalto University metro station on Thursday August 30th. A Bloc is a part of the new block forming the center of Otaniemi, and therefore the meeting place of the whole campus with its restaurants and cafés. Welcome to the official opening of the center to get to know the shopping center and its retailers.

The commercial service offering of the Otaniemi area is revolutionized by A Bloc’s grocery stores, restaurants and cafés, as well as Clas Ohlson, Alko and pharmacy. There is also a large Esport Aalto fitness center in the shopping center. The position of A Bloc in the heart of a scientific community also makes a new kind of cooperation between the university and the retailers possible.
The Grand Opening starts at 9.00 with the cutting of the ribbon, when the doors of the shopping center open to the public for the first time. The ribbon will be cut by the chairman of the Aalto University Student Union AYY, Noora Vänttinen.
The retailers also organize their own program: there will be performers, tastings, coffee and cake, magicians and much more.
